Cannock Chase is not all Forestry, although it is the forest crops that safeguard much of the area.
There are many routes that can be walked making the Chase an ideal place for a weekend break.
The area is full of historic places of interest and wildlife well worth a visit by rambling clubs.
Haywood Park Farm and Ye Old House are ideal B&B stop overs for walkers after a hard days walking in Staffrordshire.
Remember the Chase is also used by Horse Riders and Mountain Bikers and can be busy at weekends.
I have walked, ridden and mountain biked on the Chase for over 35 years and find most users are polite and considerate.
